About

Dr. Adam Jester is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon specializing in the care of the critically injured patient. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Jester performed his undergraduate studies at the University of Richmond, VA, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry as well as a Minor in Leadership at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies.

After graduating with honors in Chemistry, Dr. Jester completed his medical degree at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, where he was active in orthopaedic spine research and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society. His success in medical school afforded him the opportunity to continue his training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center and R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. During this time, Dr. Jester developed his skills treating orthopaedic injuries in trauma patients. He was also actively involved in orthopaedic trauma research, and recently presented his findings at the prestigious Annual Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) Meeting in San Diego, CA.

Dr. Jester continued his post-residency training in San Diego, CA at the respected San Diego Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship, and then moved to Tampa, FL to join the Orthopaedic Medical Group as the head Trauma Surgeon. Dr. Jester focuses on the care of critically and non-critically injured patients, specializing in fractures of the shoulder, humerus, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle and foot, as well as complex acetabular and pelvic reconstruction. Dr. Jester has specific interests in malunion and nonunion surgery, as well as the management of post-traumatic arthritis of the foot and ankle. Dr. Jester cares for both the pediatric and adult patient, and prides himself on spending as much time as necessary with each person to provide the most compassionate, comprehensive, and informed care as possible.

In his spare time Dr. Jester enjoys being outside, traveling, boating, the beach and taking in local sporting events.
