Clinic Manager and Athletic Trainer

Andrea is a Certified Athletic Trainer and Clinic Manager for our South Tampa location. A native of Ohio, she received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Ohio University. While completing her undergraduate coursework, Andrea took advantage of an opportunity to study Sports Medicine in Australia. She also completed a professional internship with Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine in Columbus, Ohio – where she developed an interest in the role of the Clinical Athletic Trainer.

Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Andrea was accepted to the University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine. During the enrollment process, she was selected to serve as a Graduate Athletic Training Resident with the USF Health Sports Medicine and Athletic Related Trauma Institute. In this role, she provided athletic training services locally to King High School while earning a Master of Science in Medical Sciences with a Concentration in Athletic Training. The curriculum for this degree specialized in Youth Sport Injury Prevention.

Prior to joining our team at Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay, Andrea developed a Sports Medicine Program at a local hospital. Since moving to Florida she has been consistently involved in implementing injury prevention programs and providing sports medicine coverage, locally. Andrea’s experiences include all ages and activity levels from recreational to professional teams spanning the Central Florida and Gulf Coast areas. She is a highly driven healthcare professional that has a huge capacity to adapt and adjust to the challenges of running a medial office.

In her free time, Andrea enjoys cooking, traveling, and time with her dog, Koda. Her favorite part about being a resident of Tampa is all the sporting events, festivals, and restaurants the city has to offer.
