Clinical Athletic Trainer
Lauren graduated from The University of Tampa as an Athletic Trainer in 2015; while attending UT she worked with several sports teams including soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and football. She started her senior year completing a clinical experience for Tampa Catholic High Schools varsity football and women’s basketball programs. She was then hand chosen to become the lead student Athletic Trainer for the Tampa Bay Storm as a spring intern, in a selective Athletic Training educational program.
Upon graduation she began working for a large rehabilitation company and provided on-site evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries for several Tampa Bay area sporting events including high school gymnastics, youth soccer, cross-country, and wrestling. Lauren also continued her studies and earned a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania.
Lauren joined Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay in 2016 as a clinical athletic trainer. Besides her clinical duties she will also provide weekly injury evaluations and game coverage for the Tampa Bay United Rowdies Soccer Club – Girls ECNL Program. She facilitated our working partnership with the University of Tampa’s – Athletic Training Clinical Experience; which allows UT’s Athletic Training students to observe and receive hands-on training. She uses her passion for sports and rehabilitation techniques to better serve the Tampa Bay Area.
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys working out, taking snowboarding trips to Colorado, and visiting her family in the Florida Keys.
