Pre-Op Instructions

Pre-operative instructions are provided for your review before any procedure. These are general things to expect prior to your surgery such as clothing to wear for your surgery or when to stop eating or drinking. Please look over the selections below and find the one that fits your needs based on your procedure. All patients are encouraged to look over the “General Pre-Operative Surgical Instructions” and “Universal Surgical Risks”. These pertain to all procedures performed.

When Will I Know The Time Of My Surgical Procedure?

The surgical facility will call you 24 hours prior to your procedure to discuss time of arrival.

What Medications Should I Stop Taking Prior To Surgery?

Your surgeon will ask you to stop taking medications like anti- inflammatories, supplements, or blood thinners (per your PCP or Cardiologist’s instructions). If you take any other medications, the surgical facility will call you to discuss whether or not you should take the medication or stop.

Will I Be Able To Drive After Surgery?

You will need a responsible adult to drive you home from the procedure. We cannot discharge you to a ride service, or to a minor.
