Clinical Athletic Trainer
Breanna Taphouse was born and raised in Glendale, New York where she attended Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School in Queens. She played four years of varsity basketball, volleyball, and softball as a Dance Major. For college, she attended The University of Tampa majoring in Athletic Training and minoring in Sports Studies and Exercise Science. She played NCAA DII Varsity softball in the Sunshine State Conference for The University of Tampa. She graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.
While at The University of Tampa she did clinical rotations with the UT Men’s Soccer team, Tampa Preparatory School and Clearwater High School. In the spring of 2020, she interned with the XFL Tampa Bay Vipers as student athletic trainer working under Lauren Askevold MA, ATC and Casey Carter DPT.
After completing her degree, she accepted a position as an Outreach Athletic Trainer for BayCare Health System providing coverage for all athletic events at Seminole High School. During this past year, she also passed the exam and is studying to take her CSCS.
In her free time, she enjoys working out, playing sports, and going on adventures.
Breanna is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, as well as the Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida, a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and State of Florida Licensed Athletic Trainer.
