Clinical Athletic Trainer
Lead AT – Dr. Donaldson
Jamie Cummings found her passion for sports medicine while attending Northfield Mount Hermon School. She was a multi-sport athlete that would often spend time working with the school’s athletic trainer to stay healthy and recover from injury. After growing up in a small beach town along the Eastern Massachusetts coast; she decided to escape the New England cold and continue her education in a warmer beach city.
She decided to attend the University of Tampa and study athletic training. While at UT she worked closely with Men’s Soccer program helping them to make the Elite 8 tournament in 2016. She also gained valuable experience working as a student athletic trainer with the football program at Shorecrest Prep in St. Petersburg. Selected to study abroad, she enhanced her education by treating athletes at The National Taiwan Sport University whose athletes specialized sports such as Ju Jitsu, Tai Kwon Do and Archery. She also learned about ancient Chinese Medicine.
After completing her bachelor’s degree in athletic training, she joined Orthopedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay in 2018 where she is a clinical athletic trainer. She works closely with Dr. Donaldson and in our physical therapy department.
She is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and State of Florida Licensed Athletic Trainer.
She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
