Tabb graduated from Manchester High School in Akron, Ohio, and attended Ashland University on a baseball scholarship.  He completed a triple major in Physical Education K-12, Health Education K-12, and Sports Medicine. Tabb received my Master of Education in Sports Science Degree from Ashland University.

After completing his Master’s Degree, his first athletic training position was with the Cleveland Clinic from 1995-2003. His wife Melanie was transferred to Oklahoma City. Upon arriving in OKC, he was employed by McBride Orthopedic Clinic and Dr. Carlan Yates from 2003-2006. He moved to South Carolina and worked for Clemson Sports Medicine Clinic from 2006-2011. In 2011, he became one of Summerville High School Instructors of Sports Medicine/Athletic Trainers. Tabb has taught all levels of Sports Medicine classes at Summerville High School from 2011 to June 2022. He continues his Athletic Training journey with The Orthopedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay in June 2022.

He is NATABOC Certified and holds Athletic Training Licenses in Florida, Ohio, and South Carolina.  Tabb is also certified as an American Heart Association BLS/First Aid instructor.

Tabb and his wife Melanie have been married since August 1994 and have 2 rescue Lab mix dogs, Dexter and Archie.
