Clinical Athletic Trainer
Kendra Richardson is a certified athletic trainer and a native of Washington State. She graduated from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Athletic Training. She has extensive experience with athletic and sports medicine injuries. While at the University of Tampa, she worked with their Nationally Ranked Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Baseball program as well as lacrosse and basketball teams.
She completed a yearlong clinical rotation with Tampa Catholic High School where she performed injury evaluation, treatment and prevention programs with the Football, Basketball and Lacrosse teams to name a few.
Kendra joined Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay in 2016. She has quickly become an asset to the sports medicine team and works daily evaluating and treating patients with a variety of orthopedic issues. She still works closely with the UT and Tampa Catholic programs helping to ensure timely and quality care for athletes.
She currently is the orthopedic liaison for the Tampa Bay Mayhem Rugby Club, scheduling medical coverage and serving as the on field Athletic Trainer when needed. She also works closely with Dr. Butler as his clinical study coordinator for multiple research studies.
She is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and State of Florida Licensed Athletic Trainer.
In her spare time Kendra enjoys watching sports, eating tacos, spending time with friends and family and taking her dog, Gunner, to the dog park.
