Rafa Squillantini

Rafael “Rafa” is originally from the Philippines. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at Boston University in 2017. After graduating from BU, Rafa pursued his Master of Science in Athletic Training from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA where he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Christopher Newport University.

Rafa then graduated from the Athletic Training Residency program at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO in 2020 to expand his knowledge base in the field of Orthopedics and learn how to assist in the operating room.

Before joining OMG, Rafa spent the last 3 years working as a surgical athletic trainer to a hip preservation surgeon at Indiana University Health, gaining valuable experience in the field.

Rafa joined OMG as a float athletic trainer in 2023. He is a Board-certified Athletic Trainer, Florida licensed athletic trainer, Certified Orthopedic Technologist and Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist.

In his spare time Rafael enjoys playing basketball, working out, cooking, travelling, going to the beach, spending time with his wife and walking his dog, Tater.
